Councillor Martyn Miller

Councillor - Martyn Miller

I have lived in Smalley for 24years with my wife, and both of our children attended Smalley Richardson Primary School. I work as a mortgage & insurance adviser. I became a parish councillor in 2011 as I wanted to have a say in the developments which were happening in and around our Parish. I am also keen to help to ensure that Smalley remains a pleasant place in which to live. During the term of the present Smalley Parish Council, I have been particularly pleased to have been involved with the new development on Dobholes Lane Playpark as I believe that sport and recreation are an important part of our community. I can be contacted on 07980 915718.

It is always my intention to look after the interest of all the Residents and be a conduit to ensure that their opinions regarding the management and conduct of Parish matters are considered.

I have lived at Stainsby Lodge for over 50 years in Smalley and have been actively involved in many aspects of Parish life serving as Councillor and Lay minister whilst raising our family of three. It was a huge honour to be awarded the MBE in 2007 for Service to our Community helping to bring about improvements to all ages.
